Apple devices are usually impervious by these type of issues.
This virus seems to come down into Windows based Smartphones that use digital startup functions and not analog (start button is a momentary switch) and sit in secondary storage and run from there. As to not having a SD card, it may depend on if its partitioned or not (or two chips on MB rather than one).
Almost brings me back to the day of trying to explain expanded vs extended memory.
