I need to free some space on my phone. There are apps that I use just 2-3 months of a year that use some serious memory but I don't know what to do about them.
The two available options are "Force stop" and "Uninstall". I did force them to stop running, but wouldn't want to uninstall because they are loaded with info I use during those 2-3 months of the year. The phone doesn't have memory card.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.
Android phone (Pixel)
The apps are specifically used during my vacation travel overseas and are all set up with useful, customized stuff I need when I travel. (Credit cards info, banking, purchases history, travel routes, maps that already have downloaded points of interest with transportation connection, accomodations I used and will use again, my comments etc. Things I would lose if I uninstall/reinstall the apps.
Why are you being so..... mmm... guarded, I guess?
What specifically is the app? We won't judge. or... hack you?!?!
Here's my issue with your issue: If you are that tight on space that you need to remove an app that is probably a few hundred mb's, you should probably be looking elsewhere for freeing space. You aren't going to get much from an app.
Pictures and music are usually the things taking up space. You have a lot of photos, don't you.
Photos are live synced, so most are gone from the phone now and I am back to 50% used storage.
Perhaps I just don't want the clutter ...
Well, I guess I will just contain them all in one folder so they will not be on my way all the times.
If it's something like Keep, then everything is saved off the phone anyway, which is pretty cool.
And you don't need the app.
If you're using some not so good app, maybe I could suggest a better one which is why I am asking.

Keep is a good app. Low on memory and directly to the point.
If it is Keep you can easily share those notes with other applications, including whatever note taking app is on the phone. Not sure if OP realizes this or not.
