We've been using Consumer Cellular for years and they only offer certain phones, right now the only Android options are Samsung Galaxys or a Motorola Moto E4 Plus. I currently have a 2 year old Samsung Galaxy J3 and it's frustrating me to death for various reasons.
Has anyone ever had this email issue...where your phone limits the amount of pictures you can attach to an email (limits mb size)? Previously I had 2 different Motorola phones and I had this issue on ONE of them. The other Moto and this Samsung let me attach as many high-res pics as I want with no problem, and I need to be able to do this at work. Since I'm looking to get a new phone, I just don't want to have this problem again and I never understood why it happened. I really want to go back to Motorola.
I don't think it is as much as the phone but the carrier who makes that decision. I never had issues attaching photos with my Samsung Galaxy S7 using the built in email/browser.
No, I wasn't using gmail, I was using charter and I may also have tried my outlook account. (The pics are usually about 3 mb each)
I suspect the previous person asking about gMail was suggesting that since it's an Android phone, it has to have a Google account associated with it. Sending attachments to email from that account will have Googles attachment size restriction, which shouldn't be causing you problems since it's (25 GB).
If you're using some other email service, Yahoo, Microsoft, etc. they might be the restriction, or your cell phone provider (Charter).
Considering the above, it's probably not the phone itself that's restricting you.
Actually I doubt it's the phone. The phone doesn't care. The only restriction is the provider.
