My son has a verizon samsung s21. It was dropped , on the rug. It was in a durable hard case at the time. The phone is in nice condition. Screen isn't cracked or anything. But after the drop phone will not recognize the sim card. I plugged the card into my phone so it's not the card. I also plugged my sim card into his phone and it couldn't read it either. I'm thinking it's the sim card reader. But I cannot find anything how much it cost to replace the reader?
I'm super annoyed at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Did you try putting the SIM back into the phone after testing it on your phone? If it doesn't work then, there is something broken or loose in the S21 and that will not be covered under the phone warranty.

I use the same phone and I do use a rugged case as well. Even the best, strongest case cannot prevent 100% of all potential damage.

You could take it to a local cellular repair shop. I don't know how much it would cost for them to fix or for you to order the part and fix yourself.

Thank you. Yes I tried what you said. I will take it in and have it fixed. Thanks!
