I have an iphone 7 and decided I wanted to use "notes" to create a list of all the birds I can identify at my birdfeeder. I can go to settings to create a list called "Birds" and it seems like you can alphabetize multiple lists, but, I need to alphabetize items within a specific list. Unless I am missing something it appears this can't be done in notes.

So is there any other app on my iphone or one I can download that would allow me to create a list and allow me to sort the items within the list alphabetically? It does not have to do it automatically, just have a feature that allows me to resort the items in the list alphabetically as needed.

I mean, you should just use an app designed to do exactly what you want. This one from Cornell University.

Thanks for the link. I notice this app apparently will shorten battery life even when the app is not open. It does not say by how much. Should I be concerned?

The application description states
Quote:
Location

This app may use your location even when it isn’t open, which can decrease battery life.
What that means is that it may periodically connect to a GPS satellite for your location. I wouldn't be overly concerned unless you are concerned about privacy issues. Most folks wouldn't notice as it is usually a very small amount of data.

ANd I would certainly trust the app from Cornell Univ. It gets your location to help it identify birds.
