Maybe in the future there will be watches which project some kind of see through screen above your wrist when you need it or something like in science fiction movies.

Do you need a calendar where you can view more than 3 hours at a time? A keyboard/calculator that's actually big enough to type on and answer an Email? A map large enough to view side streets? A touchscreen large enough to control your robot vacuum app? Room to play solitaire or some other game without a magnifying glass? A smartwatch is always going to be limited by the amount of screen real estate, and the trend is clearly towards larger screens on phones and other mobile devices.

The camera sensors of all phones have been upgraded from year to year, and one of the reasons why all cellphones have cameras is because most people take photos. A lot of people are taking photos of the Auroras, and the stars using cellphone nowadays. I doubt that people are going to keep the arm up for several minutes at a time using a watch to take a photo of the sky. In this case it is much easier to mount the cellphone on a tripod and take the photo. There are websites dedicated to cellphone photography already, but I don't see any "watch" photography forums. A watch display is too small, for Internet browsing, emailing, looking a photos, and so on.
