I want to buy my DH a dash mount for th BB Curve but not sure what would be best. He drives a Chevy Truck, if that makes any difference. They have several types. Some have a suction cup that mounts to the windshield, one is straight forward the other is called a gooseneck (I think) and mounts against the window high and then hangs low where you insert the phone. Then there is the type that sits on the dash with a weighted base.
Which do you think is better or he would prefer? If you already have one and can give an opinion, that would be great! Thanks.
Often, the windshield mounts can also be mounted directly to the top of the dash, using a plastic disc they include which sticks "permanently." On some cars, the slope of the windshield makes it impractical to mount a device there - it puts it too far out of reach.
The gooseneck mounts do offer a lot of flexibility (no pun intended) in placement of the device, but they do tend to bounce/vibrate more than the solid-neck mounts.
Thank you so much. I ended up buying the gooseneck and it can be returned, so if he doesn't like it...
