Could anyone let me know what this is exactly? We are interested in buying a house that got this done in 2006 but are worried that it may hurt the foundation more than anything else.
Thanks
If you are referring to the "permanent" spray-on paint as advertised, stay away from it. My understanding is that it peels and becomes unsightly after five years. Stay with regular paint or get vinyl or cement board. We had a house built in 1976 with cedar siding. It was suggested that we use good house paint and stay away from the "spray on siding".
Thanks to all of you for your input. A certified insepctor looked at the house that has the Tex Cote Siding on it and was actually very impressed with the quality of the siding (the job was done over 5 years ago). It seems that some companies (in Florida notably) use a cheap product resulting in chiping within a couple of years... clearly not worth the expense. The company in Charleston uses a high quality product. In fact, it has been used on a lot of residential and commercial buildings.
