Long story short:

Looking for either a recommendation for an HVAC technician that can repair an air handler / blower motor or for a "reasonable" HVAC guy to provide a quote for new HVAC unit.

Slightly longer version:
The blower motor (located outside with heat pump) is making an awful squeaking noise. The noise is there if the fan is running and not the AC/heat pump. So, its definitely that piece of the unit.

I'd prefer to make this unit last a while longer and toss a few bucks to the motor to keep me sane :P However, I am curious to know what a new unit would cost so I can prepare properly for when the time comes.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm located in Summerville.

You can get a motor on line from Grainger.com for about $100.00, than anyone with a moderate amount of electrical knowledge can change it out, I would also recommend replacing the starting capacitor that goes with the motor as well.....
