First off you do not want to live near the airport, we have plenty of nice highways that lead to and from there.....

Dorchester County District 2 has the overall better government schools in the area, with pockets of Charleston and Berkeley Counties haveing good schools as well.....

Extended Stay America is about the best short term housing around the airport you can find. Really it's not bad - the place is across the street from the outlet mall and that immediate area it's ok.

If nothing else it may give you time to look more deeply into your longer term questions.

My 22 year old daughter wants to relo to Charleston by the end of summer. She is a licensed massage therapist, has been in touch with a few spas. Her plan is to rent a house with a few other people she has "met" online, on a popular free advertising site. She will be visiting there first, in May. She has a cat. I am worried about her moving so far away from home to live by herself. Some of her friends have moved to Florida, I think that it would be better to move closer to them. She has lived in her own place before, a shared apt. a few miles down the road for almost a year. Please set my mind at ease??
