Anyone familiar with The Villages in St John's Woods on Johns Island? Pros? Cons? Bit farther into Charleston but appears to be a good area for walking and relatively close to James Island County Park dog park for our springer .

We're a 57-yr old Minneapolis couple relocating in the next several months. Considered ourselves in-town non-suburbanites but something about St John's Woods appeals to us. Thanks!

It is a VERY nice place.

The people in there are very nice and as for walking, it is without a doubt one of the nicer communities for walking etc.

Yep, definitely one of the nicer neighborhoods on Johns Island. Well built homes and plenty of lots left to be built upon.

LOVE LOVE LOVE St. Johns Woods....smaller lots, which might be perfect for you? They have a really nice pool, too.

Also, it's only 20 minutes to downtown. You WILL be cooler in the summer on Johns Island, too.

St. Johns Woods would be a perfect fit for you. The houses are adorable and the yards are nice and small for easy upkeep. They have a very nice pool and walking paths and are only 2 minutes from the nicest (imho) library in Charleston County and 2 large grocery stores as well as 2 pharmacies and lots of restaurants.
