It's nice here and people are generally nice. But, be prepared for a stifling hot humid summer, that is the worse thing about Charleston. Also, the gnats (noseeums) are very bad here in the Fall/Spring. I had to tell you reality about some things since everybody paints such a rosy picture. Be safe travelling.
