Can anyone point me in the right direction to get my PC fixed? The port that the charger plugs into needs replacing or fixed.

Not certain where you are located... this is for MP.
In the shopping center.. I do not know the name or the name of the computer store...
In the same place as CiCi's Pizza, Marshalls, TJ Max and Walmart...
There is a place, next to a gold dealer (if still there) took my laptop there.
He fixed it.. but deleted needed info he should have asked beforehand.
Would recommend another place... search as I did... there are a few in MP.. I picked the wrong one

That requires soldering on the mother board and I personally would recommend a factory certified repair center not some general computer shop....
If it is not under warranty than it would probably be cheaper to just replace the whole thing...

This is a common problem on laptops. I've always got that type of work done at Compuzone (I think that's the name). It's a small independent shop on hwy 17 in Mt P. In the small shopping center right next door to Larry's Subs on corner on 17 and Anna Knapp. They do good work and their price is fair. I've used them several times and have been pleased.
