I'm glad I found this thread. It looks like I'm going to have to give Calder's a try.
I'm torn between Home Team and Gene's for favorites right now.
I love the smoked, dry wings at home team, but sometimes I'm craving spicy, sauced wings. Enter the Haufrau.
Gene's wings are almost always on the meaty side and IMO it's hard to find a better pairing than Hot Honey Sriracha and southern fried (dry double fried)!

They are from the Raleigh area. I do know they went to NC State. Notice the Philip Rivers jersey. The hot honey sauce is my favorite. Downfall is their beer selection.

Ate at Blues the other day. They finish their wings off on the grill. They were pretty good.

I tried Calder's a couple day's ago. They were pretty good. I haven't found a place that blew my socks off though.

It says "Not a member" under his username now. That's how this site goes, though. We have all these prolific posters and then they just disappear. Sometimes by their own choice. Sometimes not. Who knows, though.

No one goes away "just like that". Remember that you can only see your own infractions. Unfortunately I'm not at liberty to make the infraction history of any member, even a banned one, public. But I can assure you everything here was done by the book and according to our terms of service. I can also tell you that before there is a ban of a senior member, there are usually multiple warnings.
Yac.

There is a dark side of this member (based on what I have seen of him on other forums) just FYI
