our sodded yard is now about 1 yr old. I put down a preemergent in early March, debatable as to how much effect it had (but that's another discussion since even after following the directions, I didn't used nearly as much product as it was saying).
The yard has some really nice green, lush spots, but also a lot of hard, crunchy, dry or otherwise, generally crappy spots as well.
There's a lot debate on how to manage/care for centipede so just wondering for those DIYers, are you doing any feeding/fertilizing right now? What product do you like the best?
Other care tips?
Thanks!!

When we dug up some of the bad spots, we found the builder had left trash under them: lumps of concrete and scrap lumber. If nothing else works, try digging up sample spots. You might also find Japanese beetle grubs.
I've been reading up on Scott's Bonus S Southern Weed n Feed for our centipede lawn.
Anyone have experience with this product or another you like better? My only concern is that I believe it has some phosphorous in it which isn't recommended for application to lawns in this area.
I'm thinking about making a trip to Wally World to pick some up.
It's still early yet for centipede to totally green up. However, if you have specific small spots that are brown, then the likely culprit is someone letting their dog pee on your grass. We used to watch our neighbor across the street get up early and do this to his adjacent neighbor's house. Nice, huh?
My centipede has been fully green for more than a month.
Could be a fungus called "brown spot". There are products on the market to help.
yeh, I definitely have some brown spots but not sure if it's 'brown spot' from fungus. Any idea how to tell? Does Lowes or Wally World carry the right product or do you need to go to Possums?
