I am not looking at Nursing, I dont have the stomach for it..LOL.
There are plenty of skilled electronics jobs in both the Service sector and in manufacturing. You could also look at the Air Force Base as a civilian contractor, pay is good and all four C17 squadrons are back from deployment.
Also look at the Surveillance and ATM service sector, Diebold, NCR if you prefer field service work to being in a hanger. I know dozens of Electronics Technicians making 50-65k working 40 hour weeks with holidays off.
What most people don't realize is that it does not take a college degree to make $20+ hour if you can learn highly technical skills like electrical/electronics installation and service. Good luck!
