I am looking at jobs in the current area where this is the pay. Not to go into details, just provide jobs you know pay this. Trying to exclude extreme overtime contractor jobs, as I would like a life instead of 7 day 12 hr weeks.
Without a degree or specific licensing few jobs in SC pay more then $18 per hour. People lined up for Boeing jobs and their production line workers are paid about $17 per hour.
General construction laborer will be lucky to get paid more then $15 per hour in SC.
Yep, Boeing or maybe a sub for Spawar if you can get a clearance. Electrician work.. I have no idea what local contractors are paying, but lots of housing going up right now..

I would like to get in on this conversation, if I may. I have a BFA in graphic design. My background is in illustration, graphic & web design, sign making, photography, vehicle wraps, project management, retail & selling my art at conventions. I'm in Illinois for the time being & looking to move. Charleston has hit my radar as a possible location. My wife has a similar background, but also has experience working in Native American art galleries & as a lab assistant.
I have not clue boomdiada... You might want to create your own thread and see if some of the other posters might be able to point you in a good direction. I know we have somewhat of a good art industry in Charleston, but where exactly you could put your skills to work.. I just have no idea. Sorry.
