schools are defiantly a concern, i have been researching them as well. easier to research then dog information. james island has appealed to us for its general area. i was intrigued by the magnet school program but need to look further in that.

On one of those lists, Charleston was listed last year as second only to Austin, TX, in the southeast (or maybe the South) for dog-friendliness.

Hmm interesting indeed! I've been scouring rentals on Craigslist and it seems extremely difficult to find a house.

Lists, schmlists. If I remember correctly the article just talked about things like dog parks and Charleston County's no-kill animal shelter.
