Was one alternative to complete Interstate 526 a parkway with a 45 miles per hour limit with at-grade intersections? Interstate highways have grade separated interchanges, not at-grade intersections.

The recent flooding should justify the need to complete Interstate 526 and provide a better evacuation route.

Pay now or pay more later. The longer it takes to complete Interstate 526, the higher the costs will be to study it, design it, construct it, and pay for the labor and equipment involved.

Probabily one of the finest days in Charleston. Sensible politicians, glad this issue is finally buried after 20+ years of fighting.

Time to focus on I-26 and alternative tranportation (buses, HOV lanes..etc)
*Issues that deal with the greater population of the pie*

Since it was the NIMBYs who wanted to kill it, they're the ones stuck with the consequences. I go there like twice a year on weekends only. It's not me who is going to be stuck in their traffic.

Here's another good one Ziggy, the people (like yourself) insisting the project would eventually be completed. Lol

It's $725 million because it wasn't completed when it was supposed to be. By the time it's realized it was supposed to be built it'll be well over a billion.
