Sign is up, doors are in, coolers and freezers are installed. Can't be more than 6 weeks away.

The nearby Bi-Lo on Shelmore Blvd will close instantly.

So far as I'm aware it's already in the process of shutting down.

Did you read this somewhere? This is the BI-LO I go to because I like the employees better than the employees at the Town Centre location.

BI-LO #5410, 774 South Shelmore Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464-6656, has been closing service departments. The pharmacy closed in November. The bakery, delicatessen, meat, and produce departments should be closing soon. Associates should begin transferring to other stores after store 5101, Mount Pleasant Square, 1440 Ben Sawyer Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464-4536, closes.

I really like Aldi, especially their prices for lead-in items. Since their selection is limited, I cannot do all of my shopping there, but Aldi has saved my family a good chunk of change over the years. Good to know they have a presence in the Charleston area.

I need to give Aldi another look-see. Went in there once when they opened shop here in Richmond about 18 months ago and was not impressed. And this is coming from someone who mostly grocery shops at Food Lion.

Aldi opened this week. The grand opening isn't until March 16, but it opened early. What a great store! I have been twice this week.

Actually it was opened beginning of last week. I saw the 'opened' sign when I went to Trader Joe's on Wednesday I think it was.

Haven't been yet.

Maybe I'll pop in tomorrow.

It was Wednesday they opened. We went Wednesday and Sunday. We got a great price on burger. They had 5 lbs for $9.75 and there was a $5 off sticker on it, so it ended up being 99 cents a pound.
