We love the fried shrimp at Art's Bar and Grill - always local! And their flounder sandwich is awesome also.

Yes, don't want fancy, I like places that have seating outside, good food cold beer! looking for just good fresh seafood, and not expensive. A flounder sandwich sounds amazing, love fresh oysters too!

What's the name of the roadside seafood place on N Hwy 17 close to Awendaw? You have to leave the restaurant to go the restroom.

Charley Brown has good, clean seafood.....but their idea of Jumbo is much smaller than mine !!

Our go-to place was Ladson Seafood. But they are supposedly renovating their place. Why you would choose to tear apart your building at the beginning of the Shrimp Season defies logic.

Glass Onion is good.
I ate at ACME? in IOP, and there shrimp n grits was awesome. Little pricey though.

Joys of living in Mt. Pleasant -- get my own fresh fish and cook it MY way -- nothing better.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I do tend to make seafood at home more than I eat it out but when company comes, good to have a few suggestions.
