I'm relocating to Mt. Pleasant for a new job and I need to find an apartment. I drove around the main roads and have a general feel for Mt. Pleasant, but I was hoping to get some recommendations on some areas. We have an 8 mo. old baby and I prefer safety versus being near shopping centers and any sort of night-life.

Our budget is up to $1100 a month in rent.

Would we be better off further down 17 (Georgetown???) such as past the airport, or even Daniel Island?

Also, does anyone have any experience with the condo sublets? Are the condos baby-friendly, as in are the residents tolerant of children?

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions!
