Severe Weather and Snow….Both are Possible

By Rob Fowler
Chief Meteorologist
Published: February 26, 2009

An evolving weather situation continues to peek our interest in the Storm Team 2 Forecast Center. At the very least, more warm air will pull northward from the Gulf of Mexico for Friday and Saturday. The arrival of a cold front late Saturday will bring showers and thunderstorms, with the potential some of these storms may show some rotation, and including hail and damaging winds. After that, colder air will pour in….the question remains, how much cold air will be in place while the moisture is still hanging around. Our exclusive Storm Team 2 LIVE VIPIR BAMS model is forecasting a good swath of snow for Sunday night and Monday morning. I do place alot of stock in this model, since it has done a very good job on the two previous snow events here in South Carolina. We will continue to update through the next few days here at Counton2.com, as well as http://www.twitter.com. You can follow me (StormTeam2), or Josh Marthers or Joey Sovine.

Keep the camera warmed up and aimed at the window. You may only get one shot at a picture...

While this is good, it's not folks like you that's the worry, it's the countless drivers who still drive as fast as they can and don't know how to drive in snow that would be my concern!

Just curious, WHY is always my fault when you hear snow?? LOL

Its your fault! You changed your caption to "ready for spring" even though you knew what the GH had to say!

The groundhog was right. YAY!! LET IT SNOW!!!
