This school, much like its brand new sister school on the other side of the West side, will be considered a "school of the future". Both schools are designed to be technology advanced and able to provide the best learning atmosphere possible. The building itself will be one of the best public school buildings in the state along with the other school. Great News for the city, the community, and the eductaion system here in Kanawha County

Update on Edgewood school progress.

The Charleston Gazette | New Edgewood school a learning tool in itself

The school is uniquely designed to be a "teaching tool" in and of itself. The mechanical and utility aspects of the building are exposed and highlighted so that the kids can learn how the building works. Monitors will display the schools energy consumption in each part of the building, and different students in different wings of the building will be competing to see which uses less energy. The building will be revolutionary and green minded unlike any any the state!

Way to go KCS! Hopefully future schools in Kanawha County, as well as WV, will incorporate this level of energy efficiency.
