Are my choices for reasonably priced golf within 15 minutes of uptown pretty much limited to Charlotte Public Golf (Renaissance, Charles T Meyers, etc.)? And by reasonable I mean like ~$25 weekday rate or a ~$20 9 hole rate or something.

I like playing nice courses every now and again, but I'm looking for something that I can afford to play weekly. I have a friend who drives down to Tega Cay to play, but that's kind of a ways. I'll accept recommendations that require a bit of a drive, though. Any ideas?

My husband plays in a golf league on Tuesday evenings at Springfield in Fort Mill. It's only $13 to walk 9 holes. I can't remember off the top of my head how much extra it is with a cart, but most of the guys (including my husband) walk. The rate is called something like the super twilight rate.

Try one of the Carolina Trail Courses. They are usually in great shape and you can typically get a decent twilight rate. For more courses and good deals, try Golf Course Discounts at over 300 Golf Courses - Clickitgolf.com.
