Festival in the Park

46th year for this festival, in Freedom Park. They had a few clunker years where the "artists" were basically folks putting together craft kits, but the past few years, they've had some pretty cool stuff. Rides for the kids, art around the lake.. it's a good time!

The Southern Women's Show is this weekend at The Park Expo center (used to be the Merchandise Mart) off Independence.

Yep. I was just telling my neighbor it's a gorgeous day for Festival in the Park, and she said, "Ummm... that's next week!" LOL So glad I mentioned it to her - we'd've been walking down there in just a little while! "Hmm, I can't believe there's no traffic!"

I thought it was closer to the end of the month!
