I graduate in a couple weeks and I am moving to Charlotte either late December or early January and I'm still looking for a place to live. What would you guys recommend? I'm trying to stay under 1000 for rent, either with or without a roommate. I am looking for a social area, close to bars, with mainly recent college graduates. Thanks!

I've been looking at Camden Grandview in the South End, I haven't found any up-to-date reviews of it. Have any of you guys lived there?

If that's the Camden complex I'm thinking of, it's mostly full with college grads and has a pretty good rap (or at least it used to) with being a party house. I have two units in Olmsted Park that are currently rented out, but are in the price range you are looking at. Someone else almost always a few of them up for rent, both 1 and 2 bedrooms. It's popular with working professionals in their 20s and 30s. You may want to try looking on Craigslist or Myhomeleasing.com for listings. It's in Dilworth which is right next to SouthEnd. Plenty of bars are near by. Uptown is 2 miles away. When I moved to Charlotte it's where I lived and met a ton of people there.

I would not say that Camden Grandview is a party house. Now Camden South End, yes. I would not recommend that property. If you choose to live in the uptown area, your going to be surrounded by a younger crowd so there is a higher chance that it may be more of a "party" scene and a bit louder than living in other areas.

Ok, I think you may be right... I couldn't keep track of which Camden property was which.
