Sounds like typical Charlotte snow, here for a couple hours, then completely melted.
I wouldn't mind one more big snow; my sons and I had a blast this last time. We went around picking up sheets of ice & breaking them, it was very satisfying. I couldn't believe how thick the ice still was, after several days. A rarity here.

Amazing how different forecasts can be. Weather.com makes no mention of snow nor sleet.

What Sunny posted may have come from weather.gov originally because that's pretty much what I saw when I was there a few minutes ago. Then I went to weather.com and also saw no mention of anything besides rain. it is odd that weather reports differ so much, but I see it between those two sites all the time.
EDIT-I just realized that the weather on CNN.com has said it's 49 and sunny all day, including when I first looked at it at about 6 AM. It was not sunny at 6 AM, for those who aren't up that early.
All of the leaves are coming out. Does anybody think this cold snap will kill everything off? A few years ago when I was living in Arkansas, we had a cold snap in April where the temperatures got down into the teens, after everything bloomed. It killed everything and it didn't get green again until June.

I check the extended forecast and so far there is no prediction for temps in teens.
Except for the last two years we often in years prior receive a cold snap in the Spring. I remember one year it damaging blooms of Dogwoods but not leaves, they do not bloom til mid to late April.
Flowers & budding plants either need to be brought inside or covered with old sheet if frost is predicted.
