Did who donate a lot of money to the city, Bojangles? They paid their fees to have their name slapped on the side of the building like any other arena in the country.

Do you work for Kentucky Fried Chicken by chance??

Since when was the coliseum the tailgating HQ for Panther's games? And since when is that area the worst in the city?

Was it a good choice for a name?

Do you feel a lot of pride for it?

Do you think it is suitable for the HQ of your NFL team's tailgating parties?

Do you not like it and think it would be better if it was Biscuitland or something?

I am just curious as to names like this and how their residents feel about it.
Muck like most of the other stadiums, arenas, bowl games now sound like....IT'S HORRIBLE.

There are a few exceptions to the rule and I just think it depends on the name of the product / corp. and how it rolls off the tongue.

Heinz Field, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Conseco Fieldhouse.....these work for one reason or another.....Go Daddy.com Bowl, Monster Park (once again thank God it's called Candlestick Park).....these don't work.

I'm not a big fan of selling the name of long standing public buildings to corporations for advertising.

This particular building was built in 1949 as the "Charlotte Coliseum". Most people today don't know that when it opened, it was the largest domed arena in the USA. Many long term residents have fond memories of the various famous and not so famous events that took place there. The building is also a great example of mid 20th century modern architecture.

The building is an important part of Charlotte's history. This in a city that doesn't preserve much of its history. I think that hideous Bojangles banner is an insult to such a place.
