Is the Country Inn and Suites in Matthews decent? I found it for around $89 a night and thought it would be good as it will get my reward points towards my Radisson hotels rewards card...anyone know if it is OK or if I could get something better for less money? Or even bettern for more money.

Matthew

That sounds like a good rate for the area.

I do beleive that is a decent area in town. Someone will answer you before later today.

I'm not sure about that specific hotel, but as far as the area it's in, it's not bad. It's right off Independence Blvd and I-485, so it's a busy area with lots of shopping (mostly older shopping) around. My wife's parents stay at a Holiday Inn Express just down the road from the Country Inn and Suites in Matthews when they come to visit us, and they like the Holiday Inn. I'm not sure of the rate, but Holiday Inn's are normally reasonable, so that might be another option to check out in that same area.

We actually stayed at the Country Inn and Suites there in Matthews for a month while we were scouting the different areas to live in. Loved the hotel! We got a great rate as well, but staff were wonderful, the rooms were very clean, and breakfast good! They even had a free daily reception, I guess you'd call it, from 5-7pm every day, with a different theme. (Pizza, subs, beer and wine, etc.). It was recommended here, that's how I found it. Oh, and they even take dogs! Great hotel, I'd highly recommend it!
