I am in Indian Trail. Have always had TW but am in need of making some serious budget cuts due to job changes. Windstream advertises $88 for tv, internet, and phone. Lifetime price. That sounds good $$$ wise to me. I know I may lose tv serv during horribe weather, have heard customer serv at Windstream not as good. But at this point need to save. Any good feedback about Windstream??? Any body like- no way don't do it???
I use Windstream for Internet and home phone. I like it so far. I was able to watch a soccer game, Viva Espana, on ESPN3.com a couple weeks ago while my cable TV with Time Warner Cable was out. What TV channels do you get for that $88? What speed internet do you get?
I've used Windstream for internet since I moved here 8 months ago. It's excellent. I've never had DSL before. I opted for the 12 Mbps plan. It never goes down, it's fast, and on the few occasions I had a technical question they answered right away. The guy even helped me get my XBox and PS3 set up, which was beyond the scope of what he had to do. I can't speak about their phone or TV services, but for internet I give two thumbs up.
TWC, in our opinion, has been absolutely horrible. Just this past week we lost all service (phone, internet and cable) for about two and a half days with no explanation or time frame for restored service offered by their customer service. Other services we've used previously would have at minimum offered a rebate for the days without service-not so with TWC.
Right now we're exploring other options. I would like to try Direct TV, not being familiar with Windstream, but this may not be an option if our homeowner (we rent for now) does not allow installation of a dish....
How is the tv service with Windstream? Reliable? Good variety?
