Good Morning All,

Well its finally here I will be coming from Brooklyn to beautiful Charlotte on Wednesday. Can you please tell me who do people use for gas, electric, phone, cable, and internet. I would like to use verizon for phone-cable and internet but I dont know if it is possible down there. All your help is appreciated. Thanks and see you all soon.

As far as utilities, it all depends on where you will be living.

Electric....Duke Power
Gas...not sure...Piedmont Natural Gas?
Phone....Time Warner, Windstream, Bell South (AT&T now)
Internet....Time Warner
Cable....Time Warner

I use to leave in an apartment near the Arboretum on Hwy 51 (SE Charlotte) and these where the services I used at that time.

Don't have information on Verizon's offerings for the services you want.

phone and internet: WINDSTREAM

cell phone: VERIZON (can't stand their customer service, but they do have
the best coverage)

TV: DIRECTV (best choice if you want to purchase sports channels)

natural gas: PIEDMONT NATURAL GAS

all the other services I use wouldn't help you, since I live in Union County.

So verizon has one of those triple play deals, land line phone, cable(direct TV) and internet. I would be able to get that in SouthEast or does the local phone Co. have a monopoly going on.

Verizon is not down here for home phone service. Bell South has Bundled deals for DSL Direct TV and home Phone service, however they are not available in all developements. Good luck on your move.

I'd simply go to each service provider's web site and pump in your zip code...it is the only way to be sure...some of the SAME Companies provide varying services(TW cable channel availability does vary by sub-region)etc...use the 800 numbers as well..if you know your zip code/address it will be easy to find your info, and facilitate an easier transfer...ALL of the listed services have sites and toll free numbers...best of luck
