Does anyone know where the bus stop is in the Waverly shopping center? My husband starts a new job soon and is going to take the express bus from the Waverly shopping center to uptown. NO ONE at CATS can give him an answer - he has gotten different answers several times. he actually went to the shopping center tonight to see where the bus drops off, but it just kept going down Providence! There are no signs around anywhere, as we have driven through there several times. The information online says Ardrey Kell, but, again, CATS gave him different answers. UGH! It shouldn't be THIS hard! Thanks in advance!

In a pinch he can always drive up to the Arboretum the first morning. I know the express buses have a stop at the back of the parking lot between the Chick-fil-A and the movie theatre. Then he can ask the driver for stops at Waverly. They will know.

It's only another 4 miles on 16, might be worth it to figure it all out first hand that day.

Call the CATS station or Google their website.

I think he is looking for the 61X park and ride site located off of the east side Providence Road just south of I-485.

After reading some of the other replies I remembered another stop I used. He doesn't have to drive to Arboretum, he can drive to the Home Depot lot right at the 485 crossing. The stop is clearer marked by signage at the back side of the HD lot, on the Staples side and close to the woods separating the lot from 485. Same 61X bus as the Arboretum. The bus enters the lot between the HD and Staples. I'd meet it there the first day. Once on board pay attention to where it stops in Waverly as it makes it's pickup there.

I believe as part of envision my ride, the Home Depot stop was eliminated and replaced with Waverly.

Ah, didn't know that. I haven't ridden in a year or so, that makes sense with both of them so close to each other.

I just looked at the bus routes. CATS shows the old stop still available but no extension to Waverly,

https://charlottenc.gov/cats/bus/sch...0bus%20service

but I looked on the Envision site and it shows it discontinued and the additional Waverly stop.

https://charlottenc.gov/cats/transit...e.aspx#Route61

Very conflicting to someone who only looks at CATS. It needs to be updated on both sites.

I also think the Home Depot stop has been discontinued. Seems like I saw that somewhere in my research. Good grief! I would think the CATS system would be more user friendly! I really would hate for him to be late on his first day. Guess we will have to just keep calling and maybe have him give it a try before his first day.

Thanks so much for the input!

You could also call the property management company at Waverly. They should be on site and know where you can park / where the bus is on their property.
