This past summer I decided to can a lot of items to put in gift baskets for the holidays. Recently I decided to add a couple more items, mustard and cranberry apple butter, but have run out of jars. Most stores treat this as a seasonal item, I checked with Walmart and Michael's and both were out for the season. I know Bi-lo carried them a few months ago but have not seen them there in a while.

Does anyone know a store that sells canning jars, preferably in South Charlotte?

Thanks in advance!

I've seen them at the Food Lion in Candlewyck, off of Providence just north of 51.

Tractor and Supply company sells these types of things. But the only one I know of is in Concord on Rt 29. There must be a TSC somewhere in the greater Monroe area I bet......

I can't believe Wal Mart doesn't have them! I saw them there last winter. I just saw some at Target the other day, and I see them in Harris Teeter a lot too. Hope you find some soon

I just saw some at Food Lion today - not in S. Charlotte, the one on The Plaza & Matheson. It would be worth calling the ones in your area to see if they have them.

Saw some at Lowe's and Bloom (Mint Hill) about a week ago. There better be some, we're gearing up for our winter soup/broth canning!!

Thanks for all the responses! I will head out to Food Lion and Bloom tomorrow to see what they have. I got some at the Super Target in Rivergate back in October, but by then only had smaller sized bottles, which was fine at the time, but now I need a mix of large and small.

Try the dollar store or dollar general. Hopefully it won't be a seasonal thing, maybe try calling first. Hopefully, a knowledgeable person will answer the phone.

Foodlion seems to carry them year round. So does some Super Walmarts. I think your chances are probably higher in stores outside of Charlotte where canning is more prevalent.

Renfroe's Hardware in downtown Matthews has them in many sizes.
