Ok, I wish I had a picture but I don't. I picked up one of those plastic things that are on the ground where water runs out of the gutter (so it takes it away from the house). A skinny baby snake was waiting there. Now, I didn't freak out because it was so small and didn't move. It was grey with black triangles. Probably about 8-12 inches long. Of course, I'm thinking "COPPERHEAD", but figure that the chances of that are small. Anyway, I went back to check it out about 5 minutes later and it's gone.

The triangles on the snake didn't join or look like diamonds that copperheads seem to have. The "research" I did, where I enter the characteristics as best as I could, informed me it could have been a milksnake, garter snake, corn snake and few others. None of which were venemous.

Just wanted to see if you may be able to identify what it is even though I've given you very little info.

Thanks.

I'd bet dollars to donuts it was a garter snake. Seen a million of 'em... Every single one in my yard!
