i am relocating to NC to be closer to my daughter, how is the job market for xray tech people in the healthcare field please help me out. like how is the pay, i know it would be less coming from CA, pay is great , but so darn expensive to live out here. Need to be close to family. I will not have medical insurance, in CA they have free medical clinics for people who do not have it. Wondering if i could collect unemployment till find a job in the state and if that is possible?, or does anyone know what type of medical coverage is available to people. Need my medication. until i find a job.

Quitting a job to move is not going to get you qualified for unemployment compensation unless California is more liberal than I thought.

I'd recommend seeing if any of your meds were on WalMart's $4 generic list and that you line up a job before coming out here especially if you are expecting other people to pay for your benefits.

Chances are if you landed a job as an XRAY tech that you'd get health benefits so that should be a plus.

Check Careerbuilder.com for ideas of what's posted and hopefully others in the know will chime in here too.
