My friends are from England and got to NY on Saturday and are leaving next Saturday. They wouldn't have time to order online. I guess they had an immediate craving.
I don't know why you refered to Bleneim Ginger Ale, but I have seen it in local grocery stores here in the Lake Norman Area. Can you not find it? If not I can be more specific.
The only thing I don't remember seeing so far is Cheerwine. I'm not sure if it was ever sold anywhere outside of the southeast.
Cheerwine Finder says you can find it at Tipsy Parson. I am sure there are other places in NYC for Cheerwine as well considering I found it in a liquor store in San Francisco.

Calabash style seafood (really good when prepared correctly)
Stop signs at the end of on ramps. Drivers who don't use turn signals (for the most part). Roads and streets that change names every mile. Bad bagels and Pizza.
Just to name a few.
For NJ, no jugghandles and can pump gas
NY pizza = overrated
Potholes that don't swallow minivans and small families
Stop and go traffic that would make the pope cuss like a sailor
A decent house for 95K on a .25 acre lot with 2 car garage?
