The white collar jobs in Charlotte were too many to have been filled by the local universities. Most cities the size of Charlotte have multiple large universities. Workers had to be brought in from all over the country.

Are you saying that white collar jobs were unable to be filled? That isn't what I was talking about. I was saying that there weren't enough jobs for the population here and with the additional thousands that have been coming here every month.

Colleges generally expand to facilitate the demands of industry. Our colleges and universities are growing tremendously. CPCC has 70,000 students. In addition, UNCC is nearing 30,000. In addition, there is Johnson Wales, Wake Forrest, Queens University, and all of the "chain" universities and colleges. In addition, there is Winthrop and several others within an hours drive. We have no problem with not having "multiple large universities." We don't have to "bring in workers," they come in on their own.
