May be moving from Tampa Fl. to Charlotte. Just curious how the job market is there? My husband is a car mechanic and works for chevrolet. Two of my adult kids work for lawyers and one at Publix supermarket in the pharmacy section. Just to give you an idea of what we are looking for.

Unemployment is only marginally lower in the Charlotte area, there are a lot of people out of work here. Expect to have a few people looking for a job for a long time.
I assume your adult children are either paralegals or secretaries. This market is moving, but the process is slow. If they are in litigation, there may be more opportunities. I will never say never, just have them check out the lawfirm webpage and apply directly. I had someone ask me yesterday, if I knew anyone for a temp spot at a major firm here; this usually leads to full-time job. Some firm do allow you to leave your resume, even if a job is not posted. In regards to the pharmacy, do the same, they should be able to find a job first, depending on what credentials Charlotte requires. I do know that a new Walgreens is opening up soon, they are still building though. As for your hubby, I don't know about his job.
Thank you so much for your info. Pretty much the same here in the Tampa Bay area.
