I will be visiting Charlotte this summer, flying into CLT. According to CATS's website, I can take route 5 ("Sprinter") from CLT to the Charlotte Transportation Center, from which point I can take the light-rail line to my hotel.
Question: Where is the bus stop? All I've been able to find is zone D, but...upper level? Lower level? Lower level where all the airport parking shuttles stop?
OK...I've looked at the lower level in Google Street View. As I walk out of Zone D at the lower level, does the bus come through on the first covered road? Or do I have to cross that one and wait at the second road, as if I was waiting for a parking shuttle?
You will walk out of concourse D to the main level and take the escalator to baggage level. (it is the only lower level). Then exit far right doors facing the street to the bus stop sign at the end. The main level is straight walk from Concourse D and you will be exiting at the closest end to the bus stop. Here is an airport map. Charlotte Douglas CLT Airport Terminal Map
There is also an information desk on the lower level in baggage claim (I believe it is between B & C). The people who work at that desk will be happy to provide any additional information you might need upon arrival regarding transportation.
