Just FYI, there are numerous inaccurate statements in those news releases. The headquarters of the North American operations is located in Kings Mountain, which has always been the case. The global headquarters is in Germany. Most of the jobs created have already been filled and was not close to the 100 number cited in the article.

Thanks. I was wondering if the Germans had spun them off, which didn't seem likely.

Just a comment on the media coverage, WSOC keeps using the same reporter, who clearly know little to nothing about the city, except how to find the mayor (city hall). When the AT&T data center was announced, WCNC sent a reporter who shot a country road, somewhere, & pronounced it Kings Mountain. Then they recently sent a reporter to cover some nutcase on York road who was flying an SS flag. But they can't get here fast enough when a train hits a truck, so they can laugh at the town. I'd rather that they send a reporter to show that half of the storefronts in downtown are empty & say that downtown was dead, but it's being revived.

This morning WCNC said that Bev is coming to Cleveland County. I assume that she's going to the building's grand opening.
