Just a comment on the media coverage, WSOC keeps using the same reporter, who clearly know little to nothing about the city, except how to find the mayor (city hall). When the AT&T data center was announced, WCNC sent a reporter who shot a country road, somewhere, & pronounced it Kings Mountain. Then they recently sent a reporter to cover some nutcase on York road who was flying an SS flag.
But they can't get here fast enough when a train hits a truck, so they can laugh at the town. I'd rather that they send a reporter to show that half of the storefronts in downtown are empty & say that downtown was dead, but it's being revived.
This morning WCNC said that Bev is coming to Cleveland County. I assume that she's going to the building's grand opening.
