Yes, that was what I was quoted...Needless to say my jaw dropped to the floor. Does this price seem about right to anyone that has had the procedure done.

We paid more. I think the full price of the implant plus the cap and custom abutment (whatever the heck that is) was $4,100. There went our vacation.

About $4K is standard around here. Draw lifting isn't as bad

Over $4k here - and then the cap was additional, plus some other peridontal work. It ended up being over $6K for all the procedures.

I was quoted $2000 for mine. It also cost me $900 on top of that to get the old tooth removed. So the total for mine was $2900.00. This was last month. I've been going to this dentist since 1976 so maybe they gave me a discount. I didn't ask.

Which is partly why no dental insurance covers it.

My teeth are perfect so I have no personal experience with this. But I have heard prices around that range from people who have had it done, and from a neighbor who makes the implants.

Sounds about right. And dental insurance only pays 1k of that....if your lucky, which is why I think dental insurance is the biggest scam out there! lol

The dentist have learned from the other health care providers here in Charlotte. They know they can charge any price they want because there is little competition. A neighbor who was faced with extensive dental work found a good dentist in columbia SC which is only 100 miles away who did the same work for thousands less than any charlotte dentist would.
