Hotel Suggestions please (Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius: safe area, live, restaurants)

Visiting Charlotte area for our first time next week. We are a family of 4 and are looking for a nice neighborhood in a safe area near Charlotte. While we are there we are planning to visit Davidson, Huntersville, and Cornelius and the city. I would appreciate Hotel suggestions in safe areas with local shopping and restaurants nearby. Thank you!

I was extremely impressed with the Comfort Inn on Liverpool Parkway in Cornelius. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, adjacent to a good restaurant, free breakfast, dog friendly. We will be staying there again next week. Good luck.

There is a Hampton Inn & Suites in Huntersville that was built not too long ago.

Country Suites by Carlson in Huntersville and when we were first exploring the area we stayed there and we liked it and I have recommended to others who have liked it as well.

If you want to stay in Davidson there is only one hotel, Homewood Suites, which gets good reviews.

Homewood Suites in Davidson is probably another good one to try. Have not seen the inside but it's a good chain and new hotel.
