I am so fed up with this crap that I could scream. I shouldn't have to beg them to send me money that is rightfully owed to me. As it was I gave up "hush" money to this company when they got rid of me as I didn't agree with the papers they wanted me to sign.

I surely hope this will all be over quickly and you get your money . . . and the company who has screwed around w/ the refund sees that not everybody is just going to roll over and take it.

I am sorry you have been through a terrible situation with an employer . . . it is so demoralizing, especially when you are forced into signing papers just to get some kind of serverance. (And are forced into walking away empty handed if you just can't agree to their terms). It is wrong but soooo many companies play that kind of hard ball.

Ani.......You said it!

Got a call yesterday from the NCDOI with some questions.....seemingly because they didn't bother to read the complete complaint! First she asked that since I was in SC, did I work in NC? Well DUH...why do you think I wrote to you? Plus I put the address of the company in the complaint. Then asked some other stupid question. But I was nice and answered them for her. Then she said something about she asked so that she could direct me to the proper department. She then said something about since it was COBRA it would fall under the US Dept. of Labor. Not sure if she was going to forward or not, so I went to the DOL site and couldn't find anywhere to lodge a complaint.

I have come to the conclusion that this world is trying to drive me looney-bins. Either that or give me a giant concussion as I keep beating my head against a wall.

Oh my goodness. You have to be kidding me.

The company is in NC - how could it possibly matter who manages the COBRA program? LOL

I think the lady you spoke with was trying to figure out a way to keep one more complaint from being lodged so the work load was a bit lighter in her department.

This doesn't sound right to me at all. The refund was given back to the company, they are to forward it to you, so they are the problem. AND THEY ARE IN NC.

Maybe just change the address on your letter to Attorney General, State of NC - and remail it to the AG and see where that gets you.

Yes, it makes me wanna bang my head on the wall, too.
