Well with this Bill passed and now the Obama administration trying to pressure states on self identity with no questions asked I've been doing some self identity soul searching of my own.
I would like to reap all of the federal benefits allowed to me, So since the feds want to mandate a self identity of no questions, don't have to prove it, I am a native american, that's what I identify as.
Folks this is a slippery slope here, be careful what you wish for!

"Slippery slope" describes the error in your logic quite well.
No my logic is dead on, this will open up the flood gate's on crap like this.
This is not a civil rights issue this is liberalism run amuck, if this Bill gets overturned by the court's where will the madness stop.
For real would you really like your teenage daughter to have to take a shower next to a dude at golds gym, I would say probably not.
Your argument is similar to all of the anti gay marriage crowd that it would lead to people marrying animals. It's stupid. HB2 has been inappropriate and unnecessary from the start. I think the original Charlotte ordinance was as well. We probably agree on that.
Everything is going to be ok. Why would my daughter be taking a shower at Gold's Gym?
The ONLY impact of this entire issue is to embarrass North Carolina by giving people like you a platform to spread intolerance rooted in ignorance.
Actually if you believe something as dumb as "There is a woman inside me" then it is simply inconsistent to say someone is dumb to believe "Inside I'm truly a native american" or "My true self is black"
you can't accept a sex gender identity disconnect and not the idea of a skin color racial identity disconnect
Esse - why is the original poster ignorant and intolerant? Can you explain? I'm not taking sides but do see that people find it easy to fling stock insult phrases on these issues as if someone with a different opinion is automatically an idiot. If you want to get someone to see your point of view, an insult is not the best route to take.

It's not far fetched in the next 5 to 10 years you're going to see a move towards other sex perversions. See the link.
One opinion I heard was that this issue is being trotted out to raise voter turnout for the presidential election. Hillary is not exactly Miss Excitement to most people, especially Bernie fans, so this is an issue that is hoped all Democrats will rally around to support Hillary.
I think 99.9% of all people have no problem with transgenders using the restroom of their choice/ They represent such a small proportion of the population that most people will never even experience a transgender in their restroom. This real issue is that most recognize that this will just open the door (or stall) for perverts to do as they please.
Listen folks I have no problem with a trans useing a different bathroom, I personally consider that a mental disorder, don't bash me for my opinion, but what this does is open the door for a hot mess that will tie up the court's and change the way people and even property is perceived in this country.
It may sound dumb if your not thinking with common sence but thinking with your emotions on this but the racial identity issue will be abused for financial or personal gains on that individual. Also property as well, what if I considered my handgun as a piece of fashion like a belt or a tie, could I take it anywhere I want to due to what I identify it as, folks trust me theese issues will come into play.
Also this is an open ticket for sex offenders to prey in a very vulnerable environment where woman and girls should feel safe at.
I feel this is just another distraction from the far left.

"Little minds" are so easily distracted!
