I am moving from NJ to Charlotte area NC and it looks like there is a bias for suburbs South of Charlotte with the exception of Moorseville and Huntersville. I have not yet traveled to the area yet, but intend to do so in July. I hate to beat a dead horse, but can someone highlight the different personalities of a couple of suburbs, both N and S of Charlotte. I would very much appreciate it. Looking to purchase a home 190-220k, which also have good schools.
You should search the forum. I think in all the moving posts people have done this already. I live north of Charlotte in western Cabarrus County in Concord. You can definitely find a house within your budget here with great schools. Odell elementary school. My kids go to Cox Mill ES which is another great school. We have everything we need around us. Malls, groceries, highways, rec leagues,YMCA,Target and our neighborhood is full of kids and transplants mostly from the NE. Check out Moss Creek and Highland Creek. The Farms and LauncEston Crossing but it maybe out of budget.
