Looking for some feedback on the two different parts of town listed in the title. What would you say the difference is for the north part of town (Huntersville/Davidson) vs south of town (Waxhaw/etc) especially when it comes to the people you find in each area. Difference in life style in either area? If you live in either area what is it about that area you like?
Waxhaw/Union county has great schools but you also seem to find areas in Huntersville where the schools are just fine as well. Is anyone really going to know or tell the difference between a school ranked a 8 and a school ranked a 10.
From South End north seems like a somewhat better commute based but they both could have issues when it comes to that.

Just kind of curious if there are opinions out there on the difference between the two areas.

Thanks

You will find people either live south or north but not really move from one to the other (I am sure there are some). I have lived in Huntersville and now Davidson and loved both areas. I prefer Davidson to Huntersville really because the town is more unique with less/virtually no generic stores/restaurants. Saying that I also travel to Huntersville to shop at these specific stores.

Davidson is a very outdoorsy town oriented place. Huntersville is more like suburbia - neither is bad just different.

I personally would never live south - it is way too crowded for my taste. As for schools, the difference between and 8 and a 10 is not much of a difference. I think you need to come to the different areas to get the vibe and see what fits you.

Traffic is hard to tell because it depends on where you work.
