Hello,

My fiance and I are moving here in May and we found an apartment in this neighborhood.. its right near the Harris teeter and the area seemed okay but I'm just nervous because I saw a news report about a shooting in 2014.. I know not everywhere is guaranteed safe.. and I've lived in Newark, NJ before so my standards are not incredibly high.. I just dont want to be scared to leave my apartment... I want nice neighbors I want to have a decently peaceful time.

What are your opinions? We are signing the lease tonight.. so any help asap would be great!!

I take it you are talking about the apartments at sugar creek and w.t. Harris Blvd. if so the are is generally safe. It's not as safe as some other parts of clt, but I wouldn't have no problems living there. The ghetto is fairly close, so you do get a lil spill over crime from time to time.
