Hello everyone... I've joined the "Moving to Charlotte" club and just purchased a home in Marvin Creek. However, since my wife will be working at Charlotte Christian School, we will be sending our kids to CCS instead of Marvin schools. Marvin has excellent schools and we would not hesitate to send our kids there. But given the opportunity, we feel obligated to send our kids to CCS. Our biggest concern is our kids making friends with other kids in the neighborhood since they won't be part of the Marvin Schools social life. So I was curious if there are many CCS families in Marvin Creek. Or are there opportunities in the neighborhood for kids to meet through social functions?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ed

I bet Marvin Creek is much like the other neighborhoods in this area (Somerset, Hunter Oaks, Wyndham, Providence Downs, Longview, etc) where you have the majority of kids go to Marvin Ridge schools, but you have plenty of kids that go private (Catholic, Latin, CC, etc.)

The pool is a great place to meet people and I am sure there is some sort of social committee there that organizes events. Don't be afraid to knock on your neighbor's door and introduce yourselves!

My kids attend Charlotte Christian! We live right across the street in Longview. Love the area and the commute is not bad. Would love to meet. What grades are your kids in?
