CMPD internal investigation, video evidence, and most importantly the courts have all demonstrated that there was no wrong doing by the officer involved. Why do we need another panel of nobodies to decide this needs to be looked at again?

Do we want more riots?
Maybe the panel could look at the family's false posts & statements that instigated riots & decide if they should be tried.
My guess is that the family and their attorneys finally realized that they weren't going to get any money unless they forced a review.
The review board has been highly criticized for always siding with the cops so they are tiptoeing around the issue to try to prove they are not biased.

It will be interesting to see what happens...
They should be glad that the city didn't press charges of inciting a riot when it all came out.
Let's not forget about Gaston County finding the paperwork that Mrs Scott filed with them about him & his gun. No gun? SURE.
I'm all for sympathy when it's appropriate, but this just seemed to be setting things up to try to rake in a windfall.
That last part should really ring home about these repeated incidents.
Somewhere in the country there is a compliant law-abiding citizen harmed by a cop...and no one is going to listen because the news media has time and again cried wolf about these incidents where that's not the case, but despite reality, the initial false report is that the cop was at fault.
